EXPECTATIONS
The deal, both ways
An internship is a two-way commitment. Here's what ownership looks like on each side.
What we expect of you
- —Show up on time, ready, and curious — punctuality is the first form of ownership.
- —Ask questions. Nobody expects you to know the floor on day one; they expect you to want to.
- —Keep your work area clean and safe. Production is a shared space.
- —Log your hours daily and your reflections weekly — don't let it pile up.
- —Treat every teammate, from the dock to the C-suite, as an owner. Because they are.
What you can expect from us
- —A real seat at the table in every department you rotate through.
- —A supervisor who gives honest, regular feedback — not just at the mid-term.
- —Exposure to the full marketing supply chain: strategy, creative, print, logistics.
- —Mentorship rooted in craft. We've been doing this since 1908.
- —Room to pitch ideas. Entrepreneurial spirit has no rank here.
Safety & the floor
- —Always wear required PPE in production zones — ask your lead what's needed.
- —Never operate equipment you haven't been trained and cleared on.
- —Report anything that looks unsafe immediately. No exceptions, no embarrassment.
- —Mind the dock and forklift paths in Shipping & Receiving and the Warehouse.
Communication
- —Our voice is confident not loud, clear not clinical, warm not casual, human not robotic.
- —Listen before you speak. Focus on what matters. Keep it simple.
- —When you make a commitment, do what you say — small promises kept build trust.
- —When in doubt on brand voice, the O'Neil Companies Voice AI is always on.
